Appliance Removal in Snellville
Your new fridge arrived, but the old one is still sitting in the garage. We carry out the heavy, awkward appliances you are done with, protect your floors on the way out, and send them to recycling where we can. You get photos showing what left and where it went.
Heavy, awkward and harder to get rid of than it looks
Most appliances weigh a lot more than people expect, and they rarely fit through a doorway the easy way. A side-by-side refrigerator can top 300 pounds. A chest freezer in the basement may have been carried down before the stairs were finished. Regular trash pickup will not take them, and refrigerators and freezers hold refrigerant that has to be handled properly instead of dumped.
That is the work we do. Our crew lifts, tilts and walks the appliance out without scraping your walls or cracking your floor, loads it on our truck, and takes it to a recycler or scrap facility that accepts it. Before we leave, we sweep the empty spot and check the path we used, so your home is left the way we found it.
If you are clearing more than one appliance, the same visit can cover old furniture or a full garage cleanout. Just mention it when you call.
What appliance removal covers
Refrigerators and freezers
Full-size fridges, garage fridges, mini fridges and chest freezers. We take them to facilities that recover the refrigerant before the metal is recycled. If there is spoiled food inside, let us know so we can plan for it.
Washers and dryers
Top-loaders, front-loaders, stacked units and dryers. We check for water left in the drum and hoses so nothing spills across your floor on the way out.
Ranges, ovens and dishwashers
Electric ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, dishwashers and over-the-range microwaves. For gas ranges and dryers, we ask that the gas line be shut off and capped by a qualified person before we arrive.
Water heaters and HVAC units
Old tank water heaters, window units and portable air conditioners. Tanks should be disconnected and drained ahead of time, since a full 50-gallon tank is far too heavy to move safely.
Floor protection and cleanup
We lay down runners or pads where needed and sweep up the dust and debris that collects behind and under appliances once they are pulled out.
Photos of the job
You get pictures of the appliance before removal, the cleared space afterward, and the load on our truck. Handy if you are a landlord, selling the house, or simply not home that day.

Signs it is time to haul that appliance away
- You just bought a replacement
- The delivery crew did not take the old one, or charged extra to do it. Now it is parked in the garage or carport taking up space.
- It runs constantly or leaks
- A fridge that never stops cycling, or a washer leaving puddles, is often past the point where repair makes sense. Through long Georgia summers, an aging garage fridge can also add noticeably to your power bill.
- It has been unplugged for months
- An appliance sitting idle in a basement or shed tends to collect mildew and pests. Getting it out now is easier than cleaning around it later.
- You are moving, selling or renovating
- Kitchen remodels and move-outs leave old appliances with nowhere to go. Clearing them early keeps contractors and buyers from working around them.
How the visit goes
- 1
Tell us what is going
On the phone, describe the appliance, where it sits in your home, and any stairs or tight turns. We give you a clear price up front, or set up a free on-site estimate if you would rather we look first.
- 2
We walk the route
When the crew arrives, we check the path out, measure doorways if needed, and point out any existing scuffs or loose trim before we touch anything.
- 3
Careful removal
We use a dolly and straps, protect your floors and door frames, and remove doors or handles on the appliance if that is what it takes to fit through. Your home stays intact.
- 4
Haul, recycle and send photos
We load the truck, sweep the spot, and snap the empty space so you can see it. Then the appliance goes to recycling or a facility that accepts it, not a roadside ditch.
What affects the price of appliance removal
Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, so you know the number before we lift anything. A single washer sitting in the garage is a quick job. A freezer at the bottom of basement stairs takes more time and more hands.
- Number and size of appliances
- One mini fridge and a full kitchen set are very different loads. The more truck space your items take, the more the job costs.
- Location and access
- Curbside or garage pickups are simplest. Stairs, narrow hallways and tight basement turns add time and sometimes an extra crew member.
- Refrigerant and special handling
- Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners need to go to facilities that recover refrigerant, which can affect disposal cost.
- Prep before we arrive
- Appliances that are already disconnected, drained and emptied go faster. If a water heater is still full or a fridge still has food inside, plan on a little more time.
Appliance removal questions
- Do I need to disconnect the appliance myself?
- For most electric appliances, unplugging is enough and we handle the rest. Gas ranges and dryers need the gas line shut off and capped by a qualified person before we arrive. Water heaters and washers should have the water supply turned off, and a water heater should be drained.
- What happens to my old refrigerator?
- We take it to a facility that recovers the refrigerant before the rest of the unit is recycled. The metal, wiring and compressor all have scrap value, so very little of it ends up in a landfill. Ask us where your load is headed and we will tell you.
- Can you take an appliance from the basement or second floor?
- Yes. Stairs are a normal part of the job for us. We ask about them on the phone so we bring the right equipment and enough people to move it safely without damaging your walls or steps.
- Do I have to be home during the pickup?
- Not always. If the appliance is in an unlocked garage, carport or on the driveway, we can collect it while you are out. Our photos show you the cleared spot and the appliance on our truck, so you know it was done.
- Will you take other items at the same time?
- Yes. Many customers add an old couch, a broken grill or boxes from the garage. Mention everything when you call so the price covers the whole load and there are no surprises on the day.
